The new DIN 77200:2020

Security Service Providers Certification according to DIN 77200-1 and DIN 77200-2 PIAQ Deutschland GmbH informs about the update of the DIN standard 77200-1. In October 2022, the new version DIN 77200-1:2022-10 was published. This replaces the previous version DIN 77200-1:2017-11. It is important to note that no transition arrangements have been made for existing certifications based on the 2017 version. The changes in the new version are mostly minimal and include mainly adjustments, clarifications, and editorial changes. No new requirements have been introduced. The specific changes compared to the version DIN 77200:2017-11 are: 1) Adjustments to the requirements in Annex A; 2) Removal of the term "security service in public passenger transport" in Section 3.8; 3) Additions to the term security employee in 3.11; 4) Inclusion of the service personnel for protection and security in Section 4.19.1; 5) Further editorial changes. Regarding the transition to the new version, PIAQ Deutschland GmbH provides the following guidelines: ▪ For new customers, certifications are based on the new version DIN 77200-1:2022-10. ▪ Existing customers will be gradually transitioned to the new standard during their next audit. ▪ Recertifications of existing customers are also based on the new version DIN 77200-1:2022-10.
