Important Note: For customers who have commissioned PIAQ for certification or wish to do so, it is not possible to provide the "Internal Audit" service.
An internal audit, also known as a first-party audit, is an internal assessment of company processes and systems conducted in accordance with a standard. The goal is to review and improve management systems, such as in the areas of quality management, environmental management, or occupational safety.
Unlike a certification audit, the company itself initiates and conducts this internal audit. The audit must be carried out by qualified internal auditors of the company or with the help of external auditors, such as PIAQ experts. We offer professional support and share our expertise to optimize the audit process. The result of such an internal audit is a detailed and informative audit report that provides valuable insights and improvement suggestions.
For companies aiming for certification, conducting internal audits is mandatory. If you want to have your company certified, you must provide annual proof to the certifier that internal audits are being conducted. The report of these audits serves as evidence that your company regularly and comprehensively audits all relevant processes.
